# Magma V2.28-23 Patch Notes

## Affine Algebras

- The common over-structure of the field F of fractions of an affine algebra A with A itself is now returned as F, so `(A.1 in F)` now works.  Issue reported by Taylor Dupuy.

## Algebraic Number Fields

- A crash when constructing polynomial rings over embedded algebraic number fields has been fixed.

## Polynomial Rings

- A bug where `HasRoot` sometimes incorrectly returned [`false`](../MagmaLanguage/StatementsAndExpressions/boolean.md#literal-literal-false-false) for polynomials over algebraic number fields has been fixed.
- A crash in `RationalReconstruction` when given incompatible polynomials has been fixed.
