# Magma V2.12-8 Patch Notes

## Number fields and Function Fields

- The function `Index` applied to two different suborders of the same order was computing wrong results.
- Some slowdowns in `Genus` have been fixed.

## Real and Complex Numbers

- A bug which caused [`InfiniteSum`](../BasicRings/RealAndComplexFields/infinite-summation.md#function-infinitesum-map-rngintelt) to crash has been fixed.
