# Magma V2.12-6 Patch Notes

## Groups

- Slow times when applying `FPGroup` to a PC-group have been improved. Problem reported by Mark Stather and Derek Holt.

## Matrices

- A bug in `RemoveRow` has been fixed.

## Rings and Fields

- A bug in the printing of precision 1 p-adic field elements has been fixed.
- A bug in `IsCoercible` into a p-adic ring has been fixed. This caused `IsCoercible` to generate errors rather than to return false.
- A bug in `IsSquare` and `GCD` for polynomials over function fields has been fixed (reported by John Cremona).
- The `sub` constructor for finite fields now allows more than one generator.

## System

- A problem with the password file system with some MAC addresses has been fixed.
